Flat Tire Change Service in San Jose, CA
Your spare put on where the car is standing, anywhere in San Jose and the surrounding cities, in 45 minutes or less. You get the quote on the call.
A flat tire change is one of the few roadside jobs with a clean ending. The flat comes off, the spare goes on, the wheel is torqued down and you drive away on it. No tow, no wait for a shop to open, no standing on a curb wondering whether the jack in the trunk is the one that belongs to the car.
Guerra Towing does this across San Jose and the surrounding cities, 24 hours a day. The one thing you need is the spare itself: we carry the jack and the wrench, so a car with a spare in the back and nothing to lift it with is still a job we can take. What we do not do is repair the flat, and we do not supply new tires. If there is no spare at all, the honest answer is a tow, and you are told that on the phone.
Flat Tire Change in San Jose
A flat is one call on a list of roadside jobs. If it turns out to need a shop rather than a spare, the right truck is already on its way.

The tools we bring
Roadside Tire Change Across San Jose
Guerra Towing is your family-owned towing and roadside company in the San Jose, CA area, and a flat tire is one of the quickest calls we take. Dispatch runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, holidays included, and the change is quoted on the phone before the driver sets off.
Emergency Tire Change, 24 Hours a Day
Tires do not choose their moment. They go on the way to work, on the way home from a late shift, and on a Sunday when every shop nearby is closed. Dispatch is answered at all of those hours, weekends and holidays included, and across San Jose and the surrounding cities we get to you in 45 minutes or less. An emergency tire change is the same job at 3am as at 3pm, and it is quoted the same way.

What We Change, and What We Do Not
Four things worth knowing before you ring, so nobody wastes a call.
Your spare, our tools
The spare is the one thing that has to be in the car. The jack and the wrench come with the driver, so a wheel in the back and an empty tool well is still a job we can take, and so is a locking nut you have the key for.
We do not repair, patch or plug a tire
The flat comes off and goes in the back of your car. What happens to it afterwards is a job for a tire shop, because a roadside patch is not a repair anyone should be driving on at freeway speed.
We do not sell or install new tires
There is no tire on the truck with your size on it. If the spare is missing, flat or long past its date, buying a tire is a shop errand and we are not that shop.
No spare? Then it is a tow, not a change
Plenty of newer cars ship with a sealant kit and no wheel at all. When there is no spare to put on, the car goes to a tire shop on a truck instead, and you are told that on the phone rather than after a driver has shown up.
When You Get a Flat in San Jose
Five ways a tire goes, and all five are a change if the spare is there.
A slow puncture that finally gave up
The tire that has needed air every week for a month, flat in the morning on the driveway. It does not have to be dramatic to leave the car unusable.
A blowout at speed
Get off the carriageway if the car will still steer, put the hazards on, and get everyone out on the side away from the traffic. Tell dispatch the freeway, the direction and the last exit you passed.
A curbed or split sidewall
A sidewall that has been opened up is finished, and no amount of air will hold it. The spare goes on and the damaged one travels home in the back.
Flat at night, nowhere open
Every tire shop nearby is closed until morning. A spare put on at midnight is what turns that into a normal next day rather than a lost one.
In a parking lot, or on a driveway
Not every flat happens at the roadside. Plenty are found in a work parking lot at six in the evening, and the job is exactly the same one.
What Affects Your Tire Change Price
Every tire change is quoted free, before the driver sets off. These are the things that move the number.
Distance of the tow
Where we pick up and where it is going. A cross-town tow and a two-block tow are not the same job.
The wheel and the fixings
A full-size steel spare on a truck is not the same lift as a compact spare on a sedan, and wheel locks add a step.
Where the car is standing
A driveway or a flat parking lot is a short job. A freeway shoulder in live traffic takes longer, because the scene has to be made safe first.
Time and access
Overnight calls, freeway shoulders, underground garages and tight streets all change what the job takes.
Flat Tire Change FAQs
The questions San Jose drivers ask dispatch most often.
Do I need to have a spare tire?
Yes. Putting on your spare is the whole job, so there has to be one in the car. You do not need anything else: the jack and the wrench come with the driver.
Can you repair or patch my tire instead?
No. Guerra does not repair, patch, plug or seal tires at any point. The flat comes off, your spare goes on, and the damaged tire is a job for a tire shop when you get to one.
What if I do not have a spare?
Then a change is not possible and the car goes to a tire shop on a truck instead. You are told that on the phone, before anyone is sent, so you are not paying for a visit that could never have fixed it.
My car came with a sealant kit instead of a spare. What then?
That counts as no spare. Sealant is for a small puncture in the tread and it will not do anything for a sidewall or a blowout, so the realistic answer is a tow to a shop that can put a tire on the wheel.
Can you change a tire on the freeway?
Yes, and it is the one place where where you stand matters as much as the work. Get everyone out on the side away from the traffic and behind a barrier if there is one, and give dispatch the freeway, the direction and the last exit.
How long does a flat tire change take?
The change itself is a short job on most cars once the driver is with you. Getting to you is the part that takes the time, and across San Jose and the surrounding cities that is 45 minutes or less.
